Guin's New Fire Truck
Today, Guin took delivery of our new firetruck. Attached are a few shots of the truck. They're not that great since the truck was parked inside, but you can get a good idea of what it looks like. The fire department has a meeting next Tuesday to begin installing hoses and other equipment and I'll try to get a full shot then and post it here. Click each picture for a larger view.

The fire truck looks really nice. We have such a good volunteer department, and they deserve this truck. Thanks for keeping everyone updated on it.
Thanks Whitney. The voluteer fire department does work very hard for our city. They've needed a new truck for a few years and I'm glad we were finally able to bring one in.
Being a citizen of Guin, I'm curious as to how the new fire truck was paid for. Were these funds acquired through a grant or are we leasing and have payments to make?
This firetruck is financed. We did receive grant money for an additional firetruck which is currently on order, as well as money for personal fire equipment.
